BRIEF

C-121A 48-0609 returned to Westover in 1996 to participate in the public airhow and open house held on 3 August. This aircraft was assigned to Westover when new, and flew under the command of the 1600th Air Transport Wing at the big MATS base in Western Massachusetts. This establishment was soon involved in support of the Berlin Airlift as the Atlantic Division's primary strategic transport wing.
